About Us

The expatriate Canadian operators, Gary and Terry, bring with them 8 years experience operating a Bed andBreakfast in Northern British Columbia.

"We had been visitng the Baja for 7 years when we finally stopped in the year 2000 in San Igancio for an overnight stay.  We camped in the campground next door to this property and we were swimming, fishing, boating and just having such a good time, we just couldn't leave.  After some discussion with the owner of the campground, we discovered that there was an opportunity to live in this beautiful oasis right next door.  It was Karma!

Yurts were chosen to be our accomodations because they fit so perfectly into the natural openings in the palm grove without having to remove any live trees.  These palms have been here for 300 years, it seemed a bit sinful to think of removing them.  We have tried to create an environment that fits into the natural beauty of this oasis and love to share it with those who enjoy nature.

San Ignacio is a truely traditional pueblo and to be at the hub of the whale watching and the cave painting trips is a really big bonus!  We also had 7 years in the guide outfitting business and we are expanding our business into taking clients on completely outfitted tours to see the attractions here."
